Producer Isari K. Ganesh has officially announced that he is backing two upcoming films featuring actor Dhanush, under the banner of Vels Film International. The announcement was made during the recently held Sumo film festival, creating a buzz among fans and industry insiders alike.
While one of the projects will be directed by Mari Selvaraj with music by A.R. Rahman, Ganesh revealed that another film would go on floors even before that. Now, the details of this earlier project have emerged.
Titled Aruvadai, the film will be directed by Vignesh Raja, best known for the critically acclaimed thriller Por Thozhil starring Sarathkumar. Production for Aruvadai is scheduled to begin in June.
In preparation, a massive film set is being built over 15 acres of land, where a major portion of the movie will be shot. Sources also indicate that the casting process is currently underway, including the search for the female lead. An official announcement on the full cast is expected soon.
With two exciting collaborations lined up, Dhanush’s cinematic slate continues to grow stronger, promising compelling content for fans.
