The horrible murder of a pregnant elephant by feeding a pineapple stuffed with firecrackers, has lead to strong voices from public as well as celebrities. This shocking incident which took place in Kerala, ended with the death of the elephant along with her baby, as the pineapple bursted in her mouth.
Many celebrities have been raising their voices on social media, and have issued strong statements demanding the arrest and legal action on people who caused the elephant’s death. Now, popular entrepreneur and Tata sons chairman Ratan Tata has posted an emotional message on the incident.
“I am grieved and shocked to know that a group of people caused the death of an innocent, passive, pregnant elephant by feeding the elephant with a pineapple filled with firecrackers.Such criminal acts against innocent animals are no different than acts of meditated murder against other humans,” said the veteran industrialist who is a keen animal lover.Justice needs to prevail.” read Ratan Tata’s note.
