Karthi is on a high having delivered two back-to-back blockbuster hit movies 'Kaithi' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and 'Sulthan' directed by Bhakkyaraj Kannan that marked the Tamil debut of Rashmika Mandanna as well. He is currently acting in Mani Ratnam's mega multistarrer 'Ponniyin Selvan' costarring Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bacchan, Trisha and Jayaram among others.

The mass first look motion poster of Karthi's new movie titled 'Sardar' has just been released showing him in a completely different and aged appearance with a beard to match. The subject has something to with the morse code as the poster suggests and is expected to be an intriguing thriller that goes on floors today.

'Sardhar' is directed by P.S. Mithran of 'Irumbu Thirai' and 'Hero' fame while G.V. Prakash Kumar is handling the music score. George C Williams behind the lens, Antony L Rubens in charge of the cuts and is produced on a grand scale by Prince Pictures.

'Sardar' has Karthi in dual roles and is romancing two heroines Raashi Khanna and Rajisha Vijayan with yesteryear Bollywood hero Chundey Pandey making his Tamil debut and Simran in pivotal roles.
