Vetrimaaran one of the most inflluential Tamil filmmakers of the current generation is celebrating his 47th birthday today (September 4th). Celebrities and fans are pouring in wishes on social media platforms. Fans are also waiting for offiicial updates on his upcoming films and one is already here.

Elred Kumar the producer of Vetrimaaran's next movie 'Viduthalai' has officially announced that the film will be made and released in two parts. Two different posters have been released both feauring Vetrimaaran in different poses announcing that the two parts will release soon in theaters.

'Viduthalai' is based on Jeyamohan's short story 'Thunaivan' and stars Soori as the hero for the first time with Vijay Sethupathi appearing in the powerful role of 'Vaathiyaar'. Bhavani Sre, Gautham Vasudev Menon and Rajiv Menon costar. Isaignian Ilayaja is scoring the music, Velraj is handling the camera while RS Infotainment and Grass Root Film Company are jointly producing and Red Giant Movies has acquired the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights.
