‘GodFather’ hit the screens yesterday (October 5). The news is that the film grossed Rs 38 Cr (worldwide) with ease on Day 1. Since the ‘word of mouth’ is positive, the film is expected to maintain its momentum in the coming days.
It was a Wednesday release and the theatrical occupancy was not optimum, given the other Dasara releases in the race. Moreover, the producers took a prudent decision not to go for a hike in ticket prices in Telangana despite elbow room. Considering the realities, the figure is impressive.
