With Ranarangam behind him, Sharwanand has shifted attention to Sreekaram, his next with debutant Kishore Reddy, who is known for YouTube hits like Idedho Bagundhe and Shatamanam Bhavathi. An emotional drama which will see its lead star into farming, the film’s first schedule will kick off in Hyderabad shortly. We hear the film, to be wrapped up in 60 days, will also be extensively shot in temple town of Tirupati, its surrounding areas and in Anantapur. “The idea is to give that typical scent of village to the audience,” says a source close to the unit.
While the director has already roped in a host of fresh faces for supporting roles, some pivotal roles required established faces. “Veterans Satyaraj and Naresh are on board for crucial supporting roles,” adds the source.
The film is a feature extension of the Kishore’s own short film of the same name, which has been removed from YouTube. Production house 14 Reels Plus planning to release it during Sankranti.
