Double Dose of Ajith: New Film Tomorrow, Iconic Re-Release on May 1

Ajith Kumar fans are in for a double delight! While his highly anticipated film ‘Good Bad Ugly’ is all set to hit theaters tomorrow, it has now been officially announced that another Ajith-starrer, the 2000 classic ‘Kandukondain Kandukondain’, will return to the big screen on May 1.

This re-release marks the 25th anniversary of the acclaimed film, and fittingly, it will premiere on Ajith’s birthday, adding even more excitement for his fanbase.

Directed by Rajiv Menon, Kandukondain Kandukondain featured a stellar cast including Mammootty, Aishwarya Rai, Tabu, Abbas, Srividya, and Ajith Kumar. The film is still remembered for its soulful storytelling and brilliant music composed by A.R. Rahman. Among the standout moments is the iconic song “Enna Solla Pogirai,” which won the National Award and became a timeless melody, thanks to Shankar Mahadevan’s unforgettable vocals.

With Good Bad Ugly releasing on April 10 and Kandukondain Kandukondain returning to theaters just 20 days later, fans are celebrating what feels like a mini Ajith film festival.

Preparations for the re-release are said to be in full swing, and theaters are expected to draw large crowds of nostalgic moviegoers and new-age fans alike.
