Actor and director Dhanush is set to embark on his next directorial venture (#DD3) after his 50th film, 'D50'. The shooting for his upcoming movie, anticipated to commence next week, is expected to kick off around December 12, marking an exciting phase in the acclaimed artist's directorial journey.
Recently, the auspicious pooja for this film took place at the Sun TV office, signaling the initiation of what promises to be an intriguing project. Dhanush is slated to make an extended cameo appearance in the film, while his cousin, Varun, is set to take on the lead role, adding a familial touch to the cast. There is no official announcement made by the team.
Music lovers can look forward to the musical composition by GV Prakash Kumar, confirmed by the composer himself in a recent interview. Produced by Gopuram Films, the movie is creating a buzz, being Dhanush's consecutive directorial endeavor after his well-received directorial debut, 'Power Paandi,' released in 2017.
Previously, Dhanush was in discussions for another directorial project in 2018, which was rumoured to be shelved. However, his collaboration with Sun Pictures for 'D50,' serving as both his 50th film as an actor and second film as a director, is nearing its final stages of production.
Besides his directorial ventures, Dhanush's period action film 'Captain Miller,' directed by Arun Matheswaran, has heightened expectations among audiences. Set in the 1980s, this action-adventure features an ensemble cast, including Shivarajkumar, Sundeep Kishan, Priyanka Mohan, Nassar, Vinoth Kishan, among others, and is produced under the Sathya Jyothi Films banner by Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan.
With multiple projects in the pipeline, Dhanush continues to captivate audiences both in front of and behind the camera, showcasing his versatility and creative prowess in the world of cinema.
