Actor Dhanush's 'Velai Illa Pattadhari 2' was earlier supposed to hit the screens on July 28th on account of its lead actor and writer's birthday. But due to unforeseen circumstances the film directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth could not make it to the screens last weekend. The makers had said that the film will release in August.

Now we get to learn from a trusted source that 'VIP 2' will be hitting the screens on August 25, 2017. Since Ajith Kumar's much anticipated film 'Vivegam' is scheduled to hit the screens on August 10 the makers of 'VIP ' seems to have avoided a box office clash between two biggies and releasing their film after a good two weeks gap. This would ensure that both the films will get huge number of screens.

'VIP 2' is the sequel to the 2014 blockbuster 'VIP'. The film retains almost all the cast members of the first part. Bollywood actress Kajol plays an important role in the sequel while Sean Roldan has composed the music.
