Ashwin Kumar is a famous Tamil celebrity who rose to fame with the popular Vijay TV show 'Cooku with Comali'. He is also a short film actor and gained a lot of fan following after doing the comedy program. The actor had completed shooting for his debut in a lead role.
Ashwin has played the lead role in the upcoming film 'Enna Solla Pogiraai' written and directed by A Hariharan. He said in the film's audio launch, "I would fall asleep if I don't like it during the narration. Actually, I fell asleep while listening to 40 stories from 40 directors." This speech of him has stirred controversy on social media and among the film industry.
Now, Ashwin has cleared the air by explaining himself clearly to the media. He has said in a recent interview, "I was absolutely nervous as this is my first big event. I hadn't prepared any speech. I didn't intend to disrespect any of the directors, who narrated stories. I never imagined that my speech would backfire this bad. However, it was unintentional. I exaggerated the numbers. I haven't listened to 40 stories before. We all come up with random numbers when we talk to friends or relatives. I shouldn't have taken the same liberty on the stage."
Speaking about the memes on social media, Ashwin Kumar said, "I'm sorry to hear that my words were misunderstood by some but my friends comforted me." Will troll memes stop following Ashwin's explanation? It remains to be seen. On the other hand, CWC fame Pugazh also plays an important role in Enna Solla Pogiraai.
