Actor Radha Ravi, who had been associated with DMK party earlier, had quit the party following the suspension handed over to him for his controversial speech in Kolaiyuthir Kaalam event. Now, several months after the incident, Radharavi has joined Bharatiya Janata Party.

Following this development, singer Chinmayi who was expelled from the dubbing union by Radha Ravi has tweeted to BJP questioning his inclusion in the party. She tweeted "Hi @BJP4India This man, Mr Radha Ravi is known to insult, abuse women at multiple events; even speeches on ‘Go ahead!! Rape! He runs a Dubbing Union that bans those who question him / complain of sexual harassment in the industry. What message are you giving to women now?".

Her next tweet read "The Hon’ble Madras High Court has just ordered the Registrar of Trade Unions to submit a report on actions for the complaints of financial irregularities. So now, this case will go away?! Now dear followers of BJP in Tamilnadu - Do question. Thanks."
