Julie is one of the most talked-about celebrities from the first edition of 'Bigg Boss' hosted by Kamal Haasan. A nurse turned social activist she came into the show as a commoner and initially gained huge support from the viewers but her erratic behaviour not only lost her the chance to probably win the title but also became very unpopular amongst the people.
However Julie has remarkably handled her infamy and is slowly turning the tide towards her in recent times. In her latest video she has donned the getup of a battered woman and speaks against the recent cases of rape of women of all ages from a four month old to elderly ones.
Julie has put forward the statistics that in 2019 alone 32033 women have been raped in India and the public only talks about it for two days and then forgets the issue. She has warned that the people ignore such news as it happens to girls faraway but there is a danger of every girl child becoming a victim in this society.
Julie has batted for severe punishment and stricter laws to rapists. She has also referred to the Hathras case where a nineteen-year-old dalit woman dies after suffering a gangrape by upper-caste neighbors.
Julie has slammed the Hathras rapists asking that those who discriminated the victim by her birth did not feel ashamed of violating her reproductive organ The video is going viral on the internet now,.
