It’s time for another remake in Telugu. It’s not a remake from Tamil but from Hindi. ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’, the 2017 Bollywood romantic comedy, is reportedly set to be made for the Telugu audience.
As per an English-language daily, People Media Factory and Kona Film Corporation have acquired the remake rights of the above-mentioned entertainer. They are yet to finalize the star cast.
The original starred Kriti Sanon (of ‘1: Nenokkadine’ fame), Ayushmann Khurrana and the acclaimed Rajkummar Rao. A big hit, the film was helped by performances, slice-of-life moments and humour. But it had a not-so-strong story. When Kona Venkat remakes it as a co-producer, he will have to take into account the strengths and weaknesses of the original.
