Ajith Kumar's long awaited action thriller 'Valimai' which was slated for release on Pongal 2022 was postponed to a later date due to the raging COVID 19 third wave. Disappointed fans can take consolation that the mass hero is ready to begin shooting for his new movie 'Thala 61'.

If the situation eases out in a few weeks time Ajith's new project 'AK61' will go on floors in late February or early March. Boney Kapoor and H. Vinoth the producer and director of 'Valimai' have once again joined hands with AK for the third time.

Earlier it was said that Yuvan Shankar Raja will be scoring the music for 'AK61' but since he had creative differences with Vinoth during 'Valimai' a change is in effect. According to sources Ghibran who has scored the background music of 'Valimai' has signed on to score the music for the new movie.

Ghibran has already worked with H. Vinoth in the super hit film 'Theeran Adhigaram Ondru' and 'AK61' will be his first with Ajith Kumar. Stay tuned for the official confirmation.
