Bigg Boss 3 actress reveals code word used by producers & directors for casting couch

It really tough for female artists to find work initially in the big bad world of cinema and the one thing that they have to inevitably encounter in their lives is the casting couch. While some have the guts to say no and move on others in the hope of getting work, oblige to the evil and then regret it when they are cheated.

Popular actress Sherlyn Chopra made her acting debut in Tamil in the 2002 film 'University' starring Jeevan in the lead role. She later acted in several Bollywood flick including the controversial unfinished film 'Kamasutra 3D'. In the Hindi 'Bigg Boss 3' she was one of the most popular contestants apart from hosting the "MTV Splitsvilla 6".

In a recent interview Sherlyn has stated that while trying out in films in the early 2000s she used to visit producers and directors with her photographs in the hope of getting a chance to act.

According to Sherlyn the men would look at her photos and then say "Lets meet for dinner" and when she asked them what time she should come they would say "11 or 12pm". She did not catch on in the beginning and went for the appointment only to be shocked that their intention was not to give her offer but to exploit her sexually.

Sherlyn has said that after she woke up to what was happening she understood that "Dinner" was the code word for "Come to me baby" and casting couch and after that she politely refused by telling them that "I am dieting so I cant have dinner but if you wish we can meet for breakfast or lunch". Fitting reply to men who try to exploit women in the guise of giving them job opportunities.
