Actress Revathi, Reema Kalingal, Padmapriya and Remya Nambesan participated in an event in Thiruvananthapuram about protecting women in cinema against sexual abuse. Revathi in her speech recalled a shocking incident a few years back when in the middle of the night a 17 year old actress knocked her door and asked for help.
One Ziyaz Jamal lodged a complaint against Revathi that she has hidden the sexual abuse of the seventeen year old girl and legal action should be taken against her. Revathi explained that the girl and her mother said that someone kept knocking on the door and they got scared and spent the night with her.
