Actress Lavanya, who has played character roles in more than 50 films in Tamil cinema, got married at the age of 44 to Prasanna a businessman. Several serial actors and actresses attended the marriage that was held in Tirupati and shared photos congratulating the couple.

Lavanya Devi who was born in 1979 in Chennai made her debut in Tamil cinema with the all time blockbuster hit film 'Surya Vamsam' directed by Vikraman and starring Sarathkumar, Radhika and Meena in lead roles. She later starred in many films with Rajini, Vijay, Ajith,Vikram and Madhavan during the 90s that include 'Padayappa', 'Jodi', 'Sethu', 'Thirumalai', 'Villain', 'Ethiri', 'Run', 'Samudhram', 'Sundara Travels' and 'Nan Than Bala'.

Lavanya later moved towards the small screen and starred in prominent roles in serials. She is currently part of the hit serial 'Aruvi' airing on Sun TV and is getting good response amongst fans. She is playing the role of Lakshmi.

Lavanya who remained unmarried has finally found her match in the form of Prasanna and her wedding photos have now gone viral on the internet. Celebrities and fans are congratulating the couple on social media.
