The makers of Jo Jo, presented by filmmaker Deva Katta, have unveiled ‘Caution 1’, introducing audiences to a quirky rural world where the search for diamonds leads to romance, greed, unexpected confrontations and plenty of irreverent humour. Set against the drought-hit diamond fields of Jonnagiri, the teaser offers a glimpse into a distinctive romantic comedy driven by eccentric characters and their dreams of striking it rich.
Written and directed by Kiran Jay Kumar, the film is produced by Vijay Krishna Lingamaneni under the Vijayam banner. With its rustic backdrop and unconventional humour, Jo Jo promises a different take on the familiar dream of finding sudden wealth.
Jo Jo Teaser Takes Viewers Into Jonnagiri’s Diamond Fields
The ‘Caution 1’ teaser introduces a group of hopefuls who arrive at Jonnagiri, believing that the rains may have uncovered valuable diamonds. Their search soon turns into a chaotic adventure as ordinary stones are mistaken for potential treasures.
When an examiner checks their discoveries and dismisses them as nothing more than ordinary stones, one hopeful refuses to give up, convinced that his luck will eventually change. Meanwhile, a woman accompanying him responds to his antics with an unexpected, blunt remark: “Clean your own ass!”
The exchange sets the tone for the film’s unfiltered comedy, which draws humour from the characters’ eccentric behaviour, unrealistic expectations and determination to find a fortune against all odds.
Filmmaker and actor Tharun Bhascker also praised the teaser, calling it an “excellent teaser” after watching it, adding another talking point to the film’s promotional campaign.
Two Dreamers and a Diamond Hunt
At the heart of Jo Jo are two penniless dreamers and a fearless young woman who embark on a quest for a life-changing diamond. However, their pursuit of wealth soon becomes entangled with romance, greed, betrayal, danger and a series of comic misadventures.
As their ambitions clash and circumstances take unexpected turns, the dream of becoming rich begins to look far more complicated than they initially imagined.

Deva Katta, Kiran Jay Kumar Reunite With Vijay Krishna Lingamaneni
Jo Jo marks another collaboration between Deva Katta, director Kiran Jay Kumar and producer Vijay Krishna Lingamaneni, who previously worked together on Mayasabha: Rise of the Titans.
With this project, the team explores a different storytelling style, moving into the space of rural romantic comedy. The film’s premise revolves around the absurdities of a diamond hunt and the extraordinary lengths people may go to in pursuit of sudden fortune.
Jo Jo Cast and Technical Team
Krishna Kamal plays Seenu, while Maahi Sri portrays Supraja. The supporting cast includes Phanindra Devarapalli as Venkatesh, Prabhavathi as Vijayamma, Mahaboob Basha as Suri, Satish Devatte Tanjore as Rangasaami, Puduru Sharath Babu as Ramana and Makarand Deshpande as Mukesh Shah.
On the technical front, Rohith Kumar handles cinematography, Mahesh Shankar is the music director, and Madhav Kumar Gullapalli takes charge of editing. The film’s lyrics are written by Rehman, Srinivas Mouli and Ramachandra.
