Actress Athmiya Rajan who debuted in Tamil as the heroine of Sivakarthikeyan in ‘Manam Kothi Paravai’ got married recently to Sanup in her hometown in Kerala. It was initially reported that it was an arranged marriage and photos of the couple went viral on social media.
Athmiya has now opened up that actually, hers is a love marriage and that she was in a romantic relationship with Sanup for five years and then convinced both the parents in 2020 and planned to get married but it was delayed due to the COVID 19 pandemic.
Athmiya has shared that Sanup actually studies in the same college as hers but they did not meet as students. In a college reunion function, she met him and immediately liked him and got close to him. He then had messaged her appreciating her performance in a movie and it was then that they fell in love with each other.
Athmiya has stated that Sanup and his family are very supportive of her career as an actress and they have absolutely no issues about her continuing her passion. The pretty actress’s next release is actually in Tamil titled ‘Vellai Yaanai’ in which she is paired opposite Samuthirakani.
