Veteran actor Prithviraj aka Babloo who started his film career as a child artiste is famous for his roles in Karthik's 'Paandi Naatu Thangam', K. Balachander's 'Vaaname Ellai' and Ajith Kumar's 'Aval Varuvaala' among others. He has also done over 100 South Indian language films and Tamil television serials such as 'Ramany vs Ramany', 'Arasi' and 'Vaani Rani'.'

Babloo Prithiveeraj is married to Beena since 1994 and has a son Ahed who is physically challenged and the couple struggled years for his recovery. It is said that the actor and his wife separated due to various issues.

It is reported that Babloo Prithiveeraj recently married a 23 year old girl hailing from Malaysia and has started a new life. The bride is said to be 34 years younger than him. However the actor who is currently doing several television shows in Telugu and Tamil has not opened up about it. It remains to be seen if these reports are true or mere rumours.
