Karthik Subbaraj is one of the best finds of the decade in the Tamil Film industry. He has a knack for unique storytelling and attracts the audience with his magic sprinkled on his movies. He has proved himself to be one of the best directors through his films Petta, Iraivi, and Pizza.
Karthik has his own style for making films and we all know that his go-to music director is Santhosh Narayanan. This combo has given many solid numbers through their films like 'Iraivi' and 'Jigarthanda' to mention a few.
For a change, he signed Anirudh for the film 'Jagame Thandhiram' starring Dhanush but was later replaced by SANA. His latest film Mahaan starring Vikram and Dhruv Vikram in lead roles also had Anirudh Ravichandar initially but he was then replaced by Santhosh Narayana for the second time.
In a recent interaction, Karthik Subbaraj opened up about the sudden replacement. "There are no hard feelings. Anirudh was busy with multiple films and couldn't take up Mahaan. I understood his position but was hesitant to talk to Santhosh Narayanan. However, Santhosh readily came on board for me", said Karthik Subbaraj.
A single-track Soorayaattam from the film Mahaan was released recently on the occasion of the young actor's birthday and was well received by the audience. The team wrapped the shooting recently and the film is currently under post-production.
