It's known that Abhishek Agarwal of Abhishek Group and Dream Merchants Inc is currently producing a biopic on the legendary scientist and former President Dr. Abdul Kalam.
Talking about the progress of the project, he says, "We recently visited Kalam's hometown to interact with his family members and friends. We are glad that they gave us great support."
Not just this, the makers are relying on a research-oriented book named 'Weapons of Peace', penned by Raj Chengappa.
An English-language movie, it will have a thriller-like second half which tells the story of how Kalam outsmarted the CIA's machinations, thereby successfully protecting the Indian nuclear secrets. The first half, on the other hand, will mostly be about Kalam's childhood and his journey of becoming a nuclear scientist.
Abhishek, who is also into the making of 'Kirrak Party' and 'Goodachari', has teamed up with Anil Sunkara of AK Entertainments for the Kalam biopic.
