Vishal unveils the fiery title and first shot teaser of his 34th film by director Hari!

Vishal, a highly efficient action hero in Kollywood, teamed up with director Hari for the third time after the blockbusters ‘Thamirabharani’ and ‘Poojai’. The project marks the actor’s 34th film and it is jointly produced by Zee Studio and director Karthik Subbaraj’s Stone Bench Films.

Today, the makers unveiled that ‘Vishal 34’ is officially titled ‘Rathnam’ and launched the first shot teaser. The 2-minute video shows a group of lorries soar past bulls and horses to a temple. Vishal gets down from a lorry, making a dashing entry, and chopping off a goon’s head with a sacred knife.

The promo ends with a stunning dialogue about the titular role played by Vishal. Devi Sri Prasad’s background score was very distinct in this teaser as the music was a blend of classical, heavy beats and EDM. Rathnam stars Vishal, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Samuthirakani, Yogibabu, Gautham Vasudev Menon and others with DOP by M Sukumar and editing by TS Jay.

Elated Vishal took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, “Well here it is finally, my 34th film. Happy to share THE FIRST SHOT of #RATHNAM unleashing the combo with Hari sir for the third time and my first collaboration with the Rockstar DSP as music composer in my career. The action begins and looking forward to summer 2024 release. Hope u all like it. Hardwork never fails. God bless.” (sic).
