The shooting of Chiyaan Vikram's upcoming stylish action thriller 'Iru Mugan' has been progressing on a rapid pace. Director Anand Shankar of 'Arima Nambi' fame has reportedly completed 60% of the shooting of the film.
Earlier it was being said that the film will be hitting the screens for July. But now a reliable source close to the unit reveals that the team plans to wrap up the shoot by the end of June and release the film for Vinayakar Chathurthi Holiday which falls on September 5, 2016.
Regarding the progress of shooting. the team will be wrapping up a long schedule in Chennai today. After this the team will move to Ladakh for the next schedule to can some important scenes, songs and a fight sequence. The unit will shoot in Chennai again after the Ladakh schedule before moving to Bangkok for the final schedule.

'Iru Mugan' stars Vikram in dual roles, Nayanthara and Nithya Menen play the female leads. The supporting cast includes Nasser, Thambi Ramiah, Riythvika and many others. Harris Jayaraj is taking care of the musical score while R.D.Rajashekher handles the camera.
The film is being produced on a huge scale by Shibu Thameens.
