Pro Kabbadi has amassed a huge number of fans since its inception. And this time, it’s stepping into its sixth year with total swag. The tournament is all set to begin next month. Well, we know that last year Kamal Haasan was the ambassador of the Tamil Thalaivas team.
Guess who’s going to be the ambassador for our favorite team this team? None other than Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi. Vijay Sethupathi has also stated that by promoting the game of Kabaddi which is a ‘Tamizh Veera vilayaatu’, the Tamil people and their culture will also rise in stature.
“Kabaddi is a game which is entwined with the culture of Tamil Nadu. By promoting the game, the Tamil language will rise in stature. The importance given to cricket should also be given to Kabaddi as well. I take pride in the fact that I’m the ambassador for the Tamil Thalaivas in the Pro Kabaddi tournament this time,” he said.
This season will begin October 5 and will continue until coming January 6. Twelve teams will compete for the title.
