Breaking! Vidya Balan to play ‘Human Computer’

What do you remember when someone says ‘Human Computer’?  A whole generation knows that it’s Shakuntala Devi, the great mathematical genius.

The news is that a biopic on Devi has been announced by a Bollywood production house.  And guess who is going to play the lead role?  None other than Vidya Balan, who was recently seen as Basavatharakam in the ‘NTR’ biopic.  “BIG DAY! Excited to play the role of Math Genius, Shakuntala Devi. We are thrilled to bring to life the true story of ‘the human computer’ – a small-town Indian girl, who took the world by storm!” Vidya says.

The film will be directed by Anu Menon.  To be shot from later this year, it will hit the screens next Summer (in 2020).  “An extraordinary true story of the human computer,” is the caption.
