Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2' premiered on Friday amidst massive anticipation. Despite mixed reviews, the film achieved a strong opening weekend at the box office. However, recent reports indicate that the makers have decided to make some adjustments to the film.
'Indian 2' did not fully meet the high expectations set by its predecessor, 'Indian,' released in 1996, which is celebrated as one of the finest vigilante films in Indian cinema. One of the major criticisms was the film's length. Sources reveal that the team has opted to trim the movie by 20 minutes. Originally, 'Indian 2' had a runtime of 3 hours, but the revised version will be approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes.
An official announcement regarding this change is still awaited, and the exact date when the edited version will be available in theaters remains unknown. Directed by Shankar, 'Indian 2' boasts an impressive cast including Kamal Haasan, Siddharth, Bobby Simha, SJ Suryah, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Nedumudi Venu, Manobala, Jegan, Vivek, and Samuthirakani. Anirudh scored the music.
