The conspiracy to kill Modi is like Rajiv murder

If an internal communication of Maoists recently intercepted by the Pune police is anything to go by, there is a debilitating plan afoot to kill Narendra Modi the way former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated.

“Comrade Kisan and few other comrades have proposed concrete steps to end Modi-raj.  We are thinking along the lines of another Rajiv Gandhi-type incident.  It sounds suicidal and there is a good chance that we might fail but we feel that the party polit bureau must deliberate over our proposal.  Targeting his road shows could be an effective strategy,” a letter written by a Maoist to a fellow militant says.

It’s said that the Modi government’s crackdown on Maoist networks across the country is the reason why the players of red terror are keen on eliminating the Prime Minister.  Despite headway in threatening Maoists, Home Minister Rajnath Singh has received criticism in the past for not doing enough to scare them.
