Directors confirm Vijay-Suriya clash

Vijay and Suriya two of the biggest names in South Indian cinema are busy shooting 'Thalapathy 62' and 'NGK' respectively and both the films were eyeing the Diwali 2018 release. Now the directors A.R. Murugadoss and Selvaraghavan have confirmed that their films will indeed hit the screens on the festival of lights.
Earlier Vijay and Suriya have clashed at the Diwali box office four times. In 2003 Vijay's 'Thirumalai' and Suriya's 'Pithamagan' released on 24th October. 2007 Diwali which fell on 8th November saw Vijay's 'Azhagiya Tamil Magan' locking horns with Suriya's 'Vel'. Four years later it was Suriya's '7aam Arivu' against Vijay's 'Velayudham' vying for audience attention on 26th october, 2011.
'Thalapathy 62' directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Sun Pictures has Vijay, Keerthy Suresh, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar and Yogi Babu in the cast. 'NGK' produced by Dream Warrior Pictures and directed by Selvaraghavan features Suriya, Rakul Preet, Sai Pallavi and Jagapathy Babu.
