Sexual Harassment Case Filed Against ‘Manjummel Boys’ Director Chidambaram

Last year, the Malayalam film ‘Manjummel Boys’ grabbed the attention of the entire Indian film industry. However, its director, Chidambaram S. Poduval, who gained nationwide fame through this film, has now caused a major stir in cinema circles following sexual assault allegations.
A young woman from Ernakulam filed a sensational complaint against Director Chidambaram at a local police station. In her complaint, she stated:Chidambaram sexually harassed her and attempted to behave inappropriately when they met.She reportedly approached several individuals within the film industry regarding the incident, but after receiving no help, she decided to seek legal action.
Following the woman’s complaint, the Ernakulam Town South Police have registered a case against Chidambaram under sections related to sexual harassment.

The police have initiated a preliminary investigation and recorded the victim’s statement. It is expected that Director Chidambaram will be summoned for questioning soon.
Following the recent release of the Hema Committee Report, a series of sexual harassment allegations have emerged against leading actors and directors in the Malayalam film industry. Chidambaram is the latest high-profile young director to be booked amidst this ongoing wave of accountability.
