Yash’s ‘Toxic’ Release Postponed – Here’s the Reason

KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations have officially announced a change in the global theatrical release date of their much-anticipated action drama “Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups.” The film, which was earlier scheduled to hit cinemas worldwide on March 19, 2026, will now release on June 4, 2026.
The decision comes in light of the escalating tensions and regional instability in the Middle East, which has begun affecting cinema operations across the Gulf region. One of the film’s key distribution partners, Phars Films, advised the makers about the situation, prompting them to reconsider the timing of the release. Since the Gulf market plays a crucial role in the film’s global rollout, the producers felt it was necessary to ensure a more stable environment for its release.
Interestingly, the announcement comes just as the team was preparing for a grand promotional phase. A large-scale trailer launch event was planned for March 8 in Bengaluru, where media representatives from across the country were expected to attend. The makers had already finalized the final round of promotions ahead of the previously scheduled March release.

In addition, the film’s first single “Tabaahi” was ready to be unveiled on March 2. However, considering the prevailing circumstances, the team decided to temporarily pause the music video release and halt the promotional campaign that was about to begin.
In their official statement, the makers said the film was conceived with a vision to reach audiences worldwide. Shot in Kannada and English, the project aims to connect with viewers both in India and across international markets. While the team was excited to bring the film to theatres in March after years of hard work, the current uncertainty—particularly in the Middle East—made it difficult to ensure a smooth global release. Hence, they chose to postpone the release after careful consideration, thanking audiences for their patience and continued support.
“Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups” features Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria in key roles. The film is written by Yash and directed by Geetu Mohandas. It has been shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions planned in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam, highlighting its global appeal.
Produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, the film is now set for a worldwide theatrical release on June 4, 2026.
