Sivakarthikeyan is currently zooming to the top spot amongst Tamil heroes especially after the tremendous reception for his recent film 'Doctor' directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. While his campus comedy 'Don' costarring Priyanka Arul Mohan is releasing on May 13th he is on the verge of completing his 20th film a Telugu/Tamil bilingual directed by Anudeep in which has Ukranian actress Maria Ryaboshapka is his costar.

Siva has expressed in several interviews over the years that he is a hardcore fan of Superstar Rajinikanth and if given a chance he would even play a small role just to be in the same frame with the legend. Now it looks like his dream is on the verge of becoming a reality.

Sivakarthikeyan's close friend and mentor Nelson Dilipkumar after Thalapathy Vijay's 'Beast' is directing 'Thalaivar 169' starring Rajinikanth and produced by Sun Pictures. Now once again the buzz is getting louder that Sivakarthikeyan will indeed be playing an important character in 'Thalaivar 169'. Other reports even suggest that he will don the role of Rajini's son and will be paired with Priyanka Arul Mohan for the third time after 'Doctor' and 'Don'. It is also a given that he will be writing a song in the film just like how he did in Nelson's 'Kolamavu Kokila' and 'Beast'.

'Thalaivar 169' has music by Anirudh and is expected to go on floors in August this year and release on Pongal 2023. We will have all the official confirmations in the coming months. Stay tuned.
