The reporter of a TV channel has been caught red-handed while trying to move alcohol in a four-wheeler in Hyderabad. He had placed at least 25 bottles of whiskey in the vehicle’s back bumper.
A video clip of the police stopping the vehicle and checking on the stock is doing the rounds on the Internet. It’s believed that the local stringer was doing the bidding of well-networked people. He expected the police to give the vehicle a free pass because it is a media house’s vehicle.
Just in Bolaram area of Hyderabad, on Sunday, two others were caught transporting several bottles of whiskey.
A case has been booked under Section 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the IPC, and under relevant sections of the Disaster Management Act and Excise Act.
