The state’s Met department recently stated that owing to the low pressure created in the Bay of Bengal, the coastal regions of the state might receive heavy rains today and tomorrow. Officials also warned that if the low pressure strengthens, it might lead to formation of cyclones as well.
However, private weather expert and blogger Pradeep John aka the Tamil Nadu Weatherman assured that there is no probability of a cyclone formation and thus TN needn’t be anxious over it. Pradeep also stated that fisherman however should stay away from venturing into the seas. However he added that if they do, they must not venture into the northern coastal regions or into Andhra Pradesh’s water territory.
He also added that there might a chance for light rainfall due to the said low pressure.
