Tamannaah Clarifies Viral Instagram Controversy Involving Deepika Padukone

Actress Tamannaah Bhatia has responded to the recent controversy involving her Instagram activity, where it appeared she had liked videos criticizing actress Deepika Padukone. The issue sparked widespread attention online, prompting Tamannaah to address the confusion directly.

The controversy began after Deepika Padukone withdrew from director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming film Spirit. Following her exit, allegations emerged that she had revealed parts of the film’s story. In response, several reels criticizing her circulated on social media — and reportedly, one of them was liked by Tamannaah.

Tamannaah, however, denied liking any such post. She clarified that the video she interacted with was an old clip of Deepika from 2020, not any recent or controversial content. She attributed the mix-up to a technical glitch on Instagram, which made it appear as though she had liked the newer videos.

“I never liked those videos,” Tamannaah explained. “Instagram should really figure out how these automatic likes happen. People made news out of it, and I was forced to clarify something that didn’t happen.”

Similar issues have been reported before. Recently, Virat Kohli faced a similar situation where it appeared he liked a glamour photo, only to later clarify that it was also a technical error.
