Post the success of Baahubali, Rana Daggubati has been flooded with offers. The actor has recently signed the dotted line to star in India’s first submarine war film Ghazi. The film depicts the story of a submarine Ghazi which was sunk under mysterious circumstances during the India – Pakistan war in 1971. Sankalp Reddy is directing this project and Prasad V Potluri is producing this film in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil languages.
Reports have arrived that the makers have zeroed in on the leading lady of the film. Sources say Taapsee Pannu has been roped in to play the leading lady in this film. Earlier, the name of Samantha cropped up for the role but that turned out to be a rumour. Taapsee and Rana earlier shared the screen space in Bollywood spy-action thriller Baby. The shooting of the film will commence later this year and the makers are planning to release it for summer, 2016.
