Suriya and Karthi Fulfill Director Premkumar’s Dream with a Special Gift!

While Retro, starring Suriya, continues to enjoy success, another heartwarming gesture from the actor has caught fans’ attention. Actor Suriya, along with his brother Karthi, recently surprised Meiyazhagan director Premkumar with a very special gift — a brand-new Mahindra Thar.

The 2023 film Meiyazhagan, starring Karthi and produced by Suriya under 2D Entertainment, was a critical and commercial success, reportedly grossing over ?50 crore worldwide. As a token of appreciation, Suriya decided to fulfill a long-time dream of the film’s director.

Sharing his joy on Instagram, Premkumar wrote about how he had always dreamed of owning a white Mahindra Thar, especially the newly launched five-door variant. Despite planning to buy it once he was financially ready, availability issues and price constraints made him delay the purchase.

However, unbeknownst to him, producer Rajasekhara Pandian had taken note of his wish and, along with Suriya, quietly arranged the surprise. “Just when I thought they had forgotten about it, I received a message from Suriya with a photo of the car and the words ‘It has arrived,’” wrote an emotional Premkumar.

The surprise didn’t end there. The car was personally delivered to Premkumar’s home by Suriya and Karthi themselves. Karthi, who played the lead in Meiyazhagan, handed him the keys, making the moment even more memorable.

“We went for a short ride. I drove it to the office the next day. In just two days, I’ve already driven 50 km. I don’t see this as a gift — I see it as an elder brother fulfilling his younger brother’s dream,” said Premkumar.

This touching gesture has won hearts on social media, further showcasing the strong bond between the stars and their creative collaborators.
