Superstar Rajinikanth is not only the numero uno actor in Indian cinema but also becomes a trending topic at number one whenever he speaks about something or even if he keeps quiet. On Wednesday Rajini hit the headlines for shooting for the In the Wild with Bear Grylls in Bandipur forests and a rumor broke out that he hurt himself when only he was scratched by some thorny bushes.
The other news that had much lesser coverage is that the Income Tax Department withdrew a case that it filed against Rajini in reference to a fine of rupees 66.6 lakhs levied on him for not paying income tax properly. A leading English daily reported that Rajini had furnished information to the IT that apart from his acting and production he was into the money lending business and taking interest of 18 percent for the same.
The Rajini haters on Twitter started a hashtag in Tamil “Kandhuvatti Rajini” (Exorbitant interest collector Rajini) and made it a trending one. The supporters of Rajini then started another hashtag “Makkalukaga Rajini” (Rajini for the People) and have explained that the interest that Rajini collects is far less than what is in practice in the market and praised him for the same. The second hashtag is catching fire and is raging on the net once again proving that the Thalaivar is the king when it comes to making headlines as well.
