Sukumar to grace pre-release event of ‘Shekar’

‘Shekar’, a cop thriller fronted by Dr. Rajashekar, will hit the screens on May 20. Featuring also Aathmeeya Rajan, Muskaan Kubchandhani of ‘George Reddy’ fame, comedian Abhinav Gomatam, Kannada Kishore, Sameer, Bharani, Ravi Varma, and Shravan Raghavendra, it is directed by Jeevitha Rajasekhar. 

The news is that director Sukumar is going to grace Shekar’s pre-release event on Tuesday. To be held at a star hotel in Hyderabad, the event will be a grand one. Sukumar, whose ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ is his career’s first pan-India hit, will be there to support Team ‘Shekar’. 

The film is bankrolled by Beeram Sudhakara Reddy, Shivani Rajashekar, Shivathmika Rajashekar, and Boggaram Venkata Srinivas. 

In a recent interview, director Jeevitha Rajasekhar said that ‘Shekar’ is a sensible remake of ‘Joseph’ (Malayalam). “We all have someone to love in our lives. It could be a parent, a sibling, a spouse, or somebody else. But what would be the state of mind of a loner? ‘Shekar’ is about a lonesome individual who can handle any situation in life on his own without anybody’s emotional support. The film will impress everyone with a heart,” the director said.
