Megapowerstar Ram Charan's much-vaunted Telugu remake of Tamil blockbuster Thani Oruvan is set to roll from Wednesday. The film is going to be launched in a low profile ceremony in Geetha Arts office. Since Charan is out of town, the makers have decided to kick start the proceedings in a private event, says reports. Directed by Surender Reddy, the film is being produced by Allu Aravind under Geetha Arts banner.
Ram Charan will be donning the role of a fiery cop, while Aravind Swamy retains his role as the baddie in this film which also features Shruti Haasan as the female lead. The film also has a second fiddle to Ram Charan and the makers have finalised a newbie, says the buzz.
Of late, Charan's career is on a downward spiral following the debacle of Bruce Lee and the actor is hoping that this remake will revive his fortunes at the box office.
