Inaurguably India’s most celebrated leading lady, Sridevi’s ashes will be immersed in the Rameshwaram sea and her husband and family reached Madurai by flight from Mumbai and have proceeded on road. It may be recalled that Sridevi was born in Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu and always had a close bonding towards the state.
It was a shock to the nation last Sunday, when news came out that Sridevi passed away on 24th March, due to accidental drowning in her hotel room in Dubai where she had gone for a family wedding. It caused further pain to all concerned as the formalities to bring her body to India took about three days and she was cremated in Mumbai. The ‘Moondram Pirai’ actress is survived by husband Boney Kapoor and daughters Jhanvi and Khushi.
