We already updated you that Sivakarthikeyan has completed shooting for 'Maaveeran' and the film is gearing up for a grand release this year. The action biggie was reported to hit the screens on Bakrid (June 29) earlier. Now, sources tell us that Maaveeran might face a delay in the release date.
As per the latest reports, Maaveeran is likely to be postponed to July 28 owing to Udhayanidhi Stalin's 'Maamannan'. We all know that Maamannan is produced under Udhay's own banner Red Giant Movies, which also has the theatrical rights to SK's Maaveeran. The latter is moved to July 28 release because Maamannan is aiming for a Bakrid (June 29) release.
Maaveeran is a fantasy action film starring Sivakarthikeyan as a cartoonist while Aditi Shankar is the leading lady. Directed by the National Award-winner Madonne Ashwin, the film also stars Mysskin, Yogi Babu, Saritha Sunil, and many others with music by Bharath Shankar. It is produced by Shanthi Talkies.
Maamannan is directed by Mari Selvaraj with Udhayanidhi Stalin, Keerthy Suresh, Fahad Faasil and Vadivelu in the lead roles. The movie has music by Isai Puyal AR Rahman. The official announcement regarding these films' release dates will be made by the respective production houses soon. Stay tuned.
