The much-anticipated Telugu sports drama Biker, starring Sharwanand, is gearing up for its theatrical release on April 3. Positioned as India’s first full-fledged motocross drama, the film has already generated significant buzz. Directed by Abhilash Reddy and produced under UV Creations, the film features Malavika Nair as the female lead, with Rajasekhar playing a powerful role.
Speaking at a recent media interaction, Malavika Nair shared insights into the film and her character, describing Biker as a high-energy cinematic experience.
She revealed that she came on board the project in April 2024 after hearing the story. “The concept immediately excited me. It’s a fresh and unique subject, and being India’s first motocross-based film makes it even more special. It’s a high-adrenaline, high-octane entertainer with impressive music,” she said.

Talking about her role, Malavika maintained a sense of intrigue. “My character acts as a bridge in the story. The film highlights the importance of family in a sportsman’s life, especially the relationship between husband and wife, where decisions are made together. The narrative unfolds across three timelines, and my character evolves along with it. It’s a performance-driven and impactful role,” she explained.
On working with Sharwanand, she noted that both of them are introverts in real life but managed to build strong on-screen chemistry. “He is very spontaneous as an actor, and we connected better during the promotional phase,” she added.
Addressing comparisons with international racing formats like Formula 1, Malavika clarified that motocross itself is a challenging sport to capture on screen. “The film delivers a strong technical experience, supported by powerful music. At the same time, it carries deep emotional layers, especially the father-son relationship, which stands out,” she said.

The film also includes a vibrant dance number titled “Pretty Baby,” choreographed by Shekhar Master, which she believes audiences will enjoy. She further praised composer Ghibran for delivering a memorable background score, noting that each character has a distinct musical identity.
Sharing her experience of working with Rajasekhar, she described him as a humble and approachable senior actor. “He is very kind and open to suggestions, which makes working with him a great experience,” she said.
Malavika also spoke about her selective approach to choosing films. She emphasized that she looks for roles with depth and variety, ensuring they connect with audiences while also offering her something new as an actor.
Summing up the film in one word, she called Biker “thrilling,” expressing confidence that it will entertain both youth and family audiences while leaving an emotional impact.
