Court's final decision on Simbu's 'Beep Song' case

It is a known fact that Simbu is a multitalented entertainer who apart from being one of the top most actors in Kollywood is also a musician, singer, lyricist, writer and director. In 2015 a "Beep" song went viral which was sung by Simbu and allegedly composed by Anirudh.
The beep song which had lyrics that troll women was also contained expletives and gave rise to controversies. Several cases were filed against Simbu and various women organizations also conducted widespread protests against the star.
The Coimbatore Race Course police had registered a case against Simbu and Anirudh based on a complaint lodged by one such women's organization. The case was going on for the past six years and Simbu subsequently filed a petition in the high court to exempt him form the summons sent for him to appear in person for the trial.
At that time, advocate Thiyageswaran, appearing for the petitioner, maintained that It is not possible to register multiple cases for one incident. and the judge then pointed out that the first case was registered in Coimbatore and adjourned.
The case registered by the Coimbatore police against actor Simbu in the beep song came up for hearing today and the judge dismissed it for lack of evidence against him.
