‘Bhari’ Launched with Grand Pooja Ceremony; Pawan Kalyan Graces Varun Tej–Niharika Konidela Film

A new Telugu film titled Bhari, starring Varun Tej and produced by Niharika Konidela under the Pink Elephant Pictures banner, was formally launched with a grand pooja ceremony on Saturday. The film is being directed by Yadu Vamsi.

Adding prominence to the launch, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan attended the ceremony as the chief guest. He sounded the clap for the muhurat shot, while Naveen Yerneni of Mythri Movie Makers switched on the camera. Director Merlapaka Gandhi and producer Rajeev Reddy handed over the script to mark the auspicious beginning.

Speaking at the event, Varun Tej expressed his happiness over beginning the project in the presence of Pawan Kalyan, calling it a special moment in his career. He revealed that the film came together organically through Yadu Vamsi’s script, which impressed him instantly. Highlighting the film’s sports backdrop, he shared that he has already begun volleyball training and confirmed plans for a Sankranti release.

Niharika Konidela described the project as emotionally significant, noting that producing a film with her brother Varun Tej is a memorable milestone. She emphasized that Bhari will be a village drama with a strong sports element and expressed confidence that the film will live up to the banner’s reputation for quality content.

Director Yadu Vamsi revealed that the story evolved from an idea centered around volleyball and was developed over several months. He said Varun Tej was his first choice for the role and appreciated the support extended by both Varun and Niharika in bringing the project to life. He also termed Pawan Kalyan’s presence at the launch as a major encouragement for the young team.

Music composer Anudeep Dev stated that the film offers significant scope for music and promised a soundtrack that would surpass his previous works. Production designer Chinna added that the film combines youthful energy with strong technical backing and expressed confidence that Bhari will emerge as a major success.

With pre-production already completed and shooting set to begin soon, Bhari is gearing up for a festive release during Sankranti, positioning itself as a commercial entertainer with a rooted, rural sports narrative.
