Actor Sibiraj, who has of late been trying to break away from stereotypes, and is keen on starring in movies that offer him different roles, as in Naanayam, Naaigal Jaakirathai, Jackson Durai etc, was last seen in the crime thriller Sathya, which was a fairly successful outing.

The actor is currently busy shooting for his next, Maayon. Directed by debutant N Kishore, Maayon reportedly revolves around a 5000 year old temple, and the mysteries surrounding it, and what happens to the lead characters when they enter the temple for research purposes.

Sibiraj plays an archaeologist, while the lead actress Tanya Ravichandran (last seen in Karuppan) plays an Epigraphy expert in Maayon. The film, which is touted to be an adventure thriller, will have music composed by Isaignani Ilayaraja and will have extensive VFX shots.
