What are the rules pertaining to the opening of shops in Hyderabad? If you are confused, here is a detailed explanation. As per a letter written by the Telangana Principal Secretary to the GHMC commissioner, the odd-even formula should be followed by shops in Hyderabad.
Point 1: Even numbered shops should be opened only on even numbered days of the week. Odd numbered shops should be opened only on odd numbered days of the week.
Monday is Day 1. Tuesday is Day 2. So on, so forth.
Point 2: Malls, restaurants, pubs, bars, cinema halls shall remain closed.
Take-aways from restaurants is permitted.
Shops in containment zones will remain closed.
Shops selling essentials will remain open on all days, as has been the case.
Point 3: Those shops without proper numbering will be taken care of by the relevant staff of GHMC in the coming days. In case of any dispute between adjacent shops, all shops in dispute will be closed till May 31.
