The Aghila Ulaga Superstar Shiva’s intro song in ‘Tamizh Padam 2’ that begins “Naan Yaarumillai” has just stormed the internet and what an explosive number it turns out to be trolling all the big name mass heroes and doing it with style and swag. The song co-written by director C.S. Amudhan and Chandru (though the former has wickedly given full credit to the latter is going to be a much discussed on from now on.
The song begins with the prayerful homage to the hero by dance girls calling him “Tsunamiyin binamiye” but he interrupts them and fun starts with the police commissioner falling at Shiva’s feet and he refuses rapping (???!!!) “Naan Yaarumilla, enakku moolailla, pozhappu illa..Lion illa, tiger illa, giraffe illa zebraavum illa.etc). Now thats a direct contrast of your usual commercial hero intro song when he praises himself who he is and what he is capable of.
The big names who have been trolled left right and center in the song is best left unmentioned except the obvious such as (“Enakku nadikka theriyathu”, “Sangam Uyirmoochu”. so that you can have all the fun playing who is who.
Shiva (those expressions and body language), C.S. Amudhan, Kannan, Chandru and Sashikanth ( That killer cameo) have come up with a surefire hit songs and the low key production values and deglam background players add to the charm.
This Mass Heroes troll anthem hits the bullseye for sure.
