Shankar missed working with Mahendran!

The legendary director, screenwriter and actor Mahendran passed away earlier today, and following his demise, celebrities and film lovers all over the world have been pouring condolences. Actors like Superstar Rajnikanth, Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan, Mohan, Suhasini and many others paid homage to the legend in his residence.

While many have been sharing their memories and tributes to the director, director Shankar, who had visited his residence to pay his last respects, made a revelation that he had missed an opportunity to work with Mahendran, and an opportunity to have Superstar Rajnikanth and Mahendran together in a movie.

Shankar revealed that his first choice to dub for Akshay Kumar’s Pakshirajan character in his latest sci-fi blockbuster movie 2.0 was none other than Mahendran, though it could not materialize. Only later the director had opted to rope in Jayaprakash to dub for Akshay Kumar.
