The Kerala flood crisis have created ripples of shock, grief, disappointment all over the world not to mention the loss of lives. Many came forward and chipped in their support through voluntary work, donations and goodwill. The help came from all sorts of people, including polticians, film stars and even other governments.
Humanity survives and as if to confirm it once again, the latest update is that sex workers belonging to Ahmednagar have donated Rs.21,000 towards the rehabilitation of Kerala post floods. They are also planning to raise Rs.1 lakh by the end of the month for donation towards the flood.
This is not a first time as they have also donated Rs.1 lakh when Chennai was submerged in floods in December 2015. Add to that their contributions for Gujarat earthquake, Tsunami(2004), Kashmir and Bihar floods, drought relief in Maharashtra etc their total donation value stands at Rs.27 lakhs. Isn’t that awesome!
